Hello lovely peeps! 💖
So, I need to tell you about the absolute chaos that happened in my house today. Picture this: Mum's sitting at her laptop (with me supervising from right in front of the screen, naturally), working on some new designs for you all, when suddenly... a leaf. A sneaky little brown leaf that somehow got inside decided it was going to have the AUDACITY to blow across the floor.
Well, obviously, I couldn't let that stand.
What followed was approximately three hours of the most intense hunting expedition of my life. This leaf thought it was clever - hiding under the sofa, skittering into corners, doing that annoying thing where it sticks to the wall for a split second before falling down again. But I was ready for it.
I chased that little troublemaker through the hallway, around the dining table (knocking over Mum's carefully organized bead containers... oops 😅), under chairs, and even into the bathroom where it tried to escape near the bathtub. Nice try, leaf. NICE TRY.
Mum kept trying to get back to work, but honestly, how could she possibly focus on making jewellery when there was a LEAF CRISIS happening?! Every time she sat back down at the bench, I'd zoom past with my prize, tail puffed up, doing my best impression of a tiny black panther. She says I was being "helpful" in that special tone she uses. I choose to take it as a compliment. 😸
The best bit? Every time I thought I had it cornered, a little breeze from somewhere would send it dancing away again. It was like it was taunting me! My tail was going absolutely mental, my ears were flat against my head in full hunter mode, and I may have done a few impressive wall-jumps that would make any action movie jealous. I definitely didn't knock anything else over. Definitely not. 👀
Eventually, after what felt like forever, I finally caught it. Pinned it down with both paws, gave it a good bat around for good measure, and then... got bored and wandered off for a nap on Mum's keyboard. 😴 She says that's when she finally got some work done. Rude.
But here's the thing - that leaf is still in the house somewhere. I know it is. And I'm watching. Always watching. Which means I'll need to supervise extra carefully tomorrow. For safety reasons, obviously.
Anyway, between my very important supervisory duties (and leaf-chasing adventures), Mum's been working on some exciting new pieces for the shop! Keep your eyes peeled - lots of sparkly, spooky, and utterly adorable goodies coming very soon. I make sure to test everything for quality by sitting on it first. 🖤✨
Have any of you ever had an epic battle with a rogue household item? Let me know in the comments - I'd love to hear I'm not the only one! 😹
